About the Position

Do you have a passion for travel, especially cruises, and speak fluent German? Were excited to invite you to join our team as a German-Speaking Customer Advisor, supporting a major cruise line project. This fully remote position is available exclusively for candidates based in Portugal and offers a wonderful opportunity to grow within the travel industry, whether you're just starting your customer service journey or are an experienced professional.

In this role, you will be the main contact for customers and travel agents, helping them with inquiries related to bookings, post-booking management, and other travel needs. Although there are some sales aspects involved, such as suggesting additional services and packages, your main responsibility will be to provide top-notch customer support.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Customer Support (Inbound):

    • Answer incoming calls from customers and travel agents, providing information on cruise bookings, destinations, pricing, and more.
    • Offer accurate details about available cruises, itineraries, and ships.
    • Address pre-booking, booking, and post-booking inquiries with precision and care.
  2. Booking Management:

    • Support customers with booking modifications, cancellations, and upgrades.
    • Assist travel agents in managing their bookings and provide cruise package updates.
  3. Cross-Selling and Upselling:

    • Where suitable, recommend additional services to improve the cruise experience, such as onboard activities, excursions, or insurance.
    • Offer customized cruise package options that meet customer needs without pressure.
  4. Post-Booking Support:

    • Help customers with questions after booking, including payment queries, required documents, and special requests.
  5. Problem Resolution:

    • Address and resolve any complaints empathetically and professionally.
    • Collaborate with internal teams for more complex issues as needed.

Qualifications

  • German Proficiency: C1 level or above, both written and spoken.
  • English Skills: Good level to facilitate internal communication.
  • Experience in sales is mandatory.
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or related fields is advantageous, though not required; full training is provided.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is helpful.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
