About TalentCross

TalentCross connects top Latin American talent with high-growth US-based companies. We specialize in placing skilled professionals in remote roles where they can make a real impact — without relocating. When you work with TalentCross, you get full support throughout the hiring process and beyond.

About the Client

Our client is a growing US-based CPA firm that serves a wide range of clients — including real estate investors and businesses requiring high-level financial guidance. They are a boutique practice that values accuracy, responsiveness, and strong client relationships. They are building a remote team of experienced tax professionals who can work independently and take real ownership of their work.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior US Tax Advisor / CPA with 10+ years of hands-on US tax experience. This is not an entry-level role — the client needs someone who can review and prepare tax returns, communicate directly with US-based clients, and support advanced tax strategy conversations, all with minimal supervision.

If you are a seasoned tax professional who is detail-oriented, highly responsive, and confident working independently in a remote setting — this role is built for you.

Responsibilities

  • Review U.S. tax returns before filing to ensure they are accurate, complete, and ready for submission.
  • Prepare U.S. tax returns as needed, with strong attention to detail and compliance.
  • Communicate directly with clients in a clear, professional, and confident manner.
  • Explain tax concepts and advanced tax strategies to clients.
  • Support client onboarding and help ensure new clients are properly set up for tax and advisory work.
  • Work with bookkeeping resources to review outputs, identify issues, and ensure clean financial information.
  • Support higher-level advisory needs, including real estate clients requiring CFO-level financial guidance.
  • Take ownership of tax workflows and follow through independently.
  • Stay current with tax rules, client needs, technology, and AI-driven tools.
  • Contribute to improving internal processes, accuracy, and client experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of U.S. tax experience.
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing U.S. tax returns.
  • Ability to review returns with enough accuracy and judgment that they are ready for filing.
  • Experience communicating directly with U.S.-based clients.
  • Strong understanding of tax strategy, planning, and advisory work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • High responsiveness and ability to work independently.
  • Comfort working remotely and managing priorities with limited oversight.
  • Openness to using AI tools and adapting to a changing tax/accounting environment.

Nice to Have

  • Active CPA license.
  • Experience with real estate clients.
  • Experience supporting CFO-level or financial advisory work.
  • Experience working with small CPA firms, boutique tax firms, or advisory practices.
  • Experience reviewing bookkeeping outputs or coordinating with bookkeepers.
  • Familiarity with modern tax, accounting, workflow, and AI tools.

Schedule

  • Full-time contractor role.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Remote from LATAM.
  • Availability to overlap with U.S. business hours.
