Syntax is seeking an IBP & PP/DS Consultant to support clients in designing and delivering integrated planning solutions across SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS). This role will partner with business and project stakeholders to translate supply chain planning requirements into scalable SAP solutions that improve forecasting, planning accuracy, production efficiency, and supply chain responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP IBP and PP/DS solutions.
  • Work with clients to gather business requirements and map them to SAP planning processes and best-practice solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops to assess current-state planning processes and define future-state design.
  • Configure and optimize planning functions across demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and production scheduling.
  • Support integration between SAP IBP, PP/DS, and related SAP modules such as S/4HANA, APO, and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze planning data, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with data migration, cutover planning, and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and project managers to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Prepare functional documentation, process flows, training materials, and knowledge transfer content.
  • Troubleshoot planning issues and provide guidance during project implementation and stabilization phases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of planning processes within client environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP supply chain planning or related consulting roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP IBP and/or PP/DS in implementation or support environments.
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and detailed scheduling processes.
  • Experience leading workshops, gathering requirements, and delivering functional solution designs.
  • Familiarity with SAP integration points across planning, manufacturing, and supply chain execution processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex business needs and translate them into effective system solutions.
  • Experience supporting testing, data validation, and go-live activities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP APO, or related advanced planning tools.
  • Exposure to cloud-based planning solutions and enterprise transformation programs.
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing project delivery.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, or operations planning processes in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with planning data and scenario analysis.
  • An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • SAP certification in IBP, PP/DS, or supply chain planning solutions preferred.
  • Additional certifications in supply chain planning, manufacturing, or SAP technologies are an asset.
