Mid-Level Software Engineer

Job Description

Seeking Mid-Level Software Engineers to join a cloud-native engineering team focused on building scalable microservices, APIs, and serverless solutions in AWS. The ideal consultant will have strong backend engineering experience with Go and Python, experience working in distributed systems, and a passion for building highly reliable applications. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fully remote Agile environment and committed to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and engineering best practices.

This team is looking for engineers who have recently been hands-on developing production systems and who can contribute immediately within a modern AWS-based microservices architecture.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong GoLang development experience
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems
• AWS cloud experience
• Serverless architecture experience (Lambda or similar)
• API development experience (REST and/or gRPC)
• Docker and containerized application development
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Test Driven Development (TDD) and/or ATDD
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working remotely within Agile/Scrum teams

Preferred Skills

• React experience
• Kubernetes
• Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Event-driven architectures
• Kafka or messaging platforms
• Cloud modernization or legacy migration experience
• Logistics, transportation, or supply-chain technology experience
• Experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
