POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Marketing Manager drives go-to-market strategy, messaging, and positioning for key services and product lines within the organization. This role is responsible for defining and executing product marketing plans, owning product & services launches, and ensuring alignment across teams for messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation. The ideal candidate will take ownership of messaging for key offerings, customer research, and campaigns. The role requires a strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build compelling stories, and lead market research efforts to support positioning and customer engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Launches

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products and services, including positioning, messaging, and channel strategies.

  • Work closely with product management, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing sales enablement.

  • Own the creation of messaging and sales tools, such as presentations and competitive battle cards.

2. Messaging & Positioning

  • Drive messaging for core offerings, aligning with the company's value propositions and customer needs.

  • Own messaging for the voice of the customer and capture insights for ongoing improvements and market alignment.

  • Ensure product messaging speaks to both customer pain points and business objectives.

3. Competitive Research & Market Analysis

  • Lead market and competitor research to inform product/service positioning and develop insights on market trends.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to provide strategic recommendations.

4. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development to ensure cohesive product & service messaging.

  • Help mentor junior marketing team members, including the Product Marketing Specialist, and guide best practices for product marketing efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 5-8 years of experience in product marketing or product management, preferably within K-12, Higher Education, or related Education markets.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience in leading go-to-market strategies and product launches.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with a knack for crafting compelling messaging.

  • Ability to lead market research and apply findings to inform product positioning.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent project management and organization abilities.
