Job description

Location: Europe (Luxemburg
/ Netherlands / Denmark / Sweden)

Contract: Fixed-Term or independent // Part-time

Duration: Mid-November 2026 – end of June 2027

Working time: 2 days per week

The Company

Kolo is a Northern European data center platform built for the next era of infrastructure with an urban focus: AI, hybrid cloud, and critical digital services in selected markets segments. Created in 2023 through the acquisition of two companies, and strengthened in 2025 with a third, Kolo brings together trusted operators across the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden under one platform.

We deliver secure, high-performance colocation with a strong focus on sustainability, customer service, and technical excellence. Backed by local teams and shared values, Kolo helps ambitious organizations scale infrastructure that’s fast, flexible, and future-ready.

Your Role

You will be the main operational HR point of contact for our employees and managers across four countries (Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands). This is a hands-on, autonomous role for a senior HR generalist who is comfortable managing a broad HR scope in a lean, international organisation.

Your focus will be on keeping essential HR activities running smoothly and ensuring that matters are appropriately managed or escalated to external specialists when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee administration and HR support.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll with local fiduciaries and Finance, including payroll inputs and payslip review.
  • Coordinate occasional recruitment processes, including job descriptions, postings, agencies and candidate experience, while ensuring consistency with Kolo's employer brand and recruitment values.
  • Own the maintenance and accurate use of our HR systems and employee data.
  • Prepare HR reporting, including financial and GRESB-related reporting.
  • Own the HR component of our ISO 27001 requirements, including documentation, evidence and audit preparation.
  • Support managers with employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary processes, if any, and involving external legal advisors where appropriate.
  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, knowing when to handle matters directly and when to involve the appropriate external partner.

The Perfect Profile Match

You are an experienced and pragmatic HR generalist who can operate independently and hit the ground running.

You bring:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist.
  • A Master's degree in HR, employment law or a related field.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment, ideally in a start-up, scale-up or similarly lean organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, payroll coordination and employee relations.
  • Excellent judgement and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Confidence working with HR systems and data.
  • Fluent English; Dutch, Swedish and/or Danish is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg, Dutch, Danish or Swedish employment law is a plus.

The Deal

  • A 2-day-per-week flexible assignment.
  • Choice of CDD or freelance / independent contract.
  • Remote working, with Luxembourg as the preferred base.
  • A broad and autonomous HR role across four European countries.
  • The opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing international data centre company.
