Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company with its Headquarters in Rotterdam, Netherlands . Where will you be working?

With a team of around four facility professionals at your side, you’ll steer the strategic and day-to-day decisions that make our spaces our Singapore site smarter, more efficient, and perfectly aligned with the needs of a high-tech scale-up.

              

What will you be doing?

As Facility Senior Engineer, you are responsible for the day-to-day execution of the facility department activities. The Cleanroom operates on a 24/7 for our Manufacturing Operations. You will work closely with Nearfield Inst Instrument Facilities organization in the Netherlands and also for all the external parties (suppliers), local authorities who regularly visit our premises. You will also ensure that all local government licenses pertaining to the site are renewed on time. You will ensure the site conforms to all local governmental regulations. In Singapore, we have the a ISO 5 Manufacturing Cleanroom for our Manufacturing Operation, R&D Facility, Demo Lab, Offices, Warehouse/Logistics Operations.

This way you make sure NFI can perform the experimental-, development- and manufacturing work for our semiconductor metrology systems.

Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Work with relevant suppliers to setup ISO 5 Cleanroom for Manufacturing Operations, including maintenance of the facilities, including Mechanical and Electrical Systems.

  • Execute the facility plan and all preventive and corrective maintenance actions on equipment inside NFI, including inventory management.

  • Executing lab/cleanroom procedures and cleanliness/organization standards.

  • Troubleshoot activities in case of facility and equipment issues.

  • Being the main interface towards various suppliers, vendors, landlord and internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinating the installation of new equipment and services facility related.

  • Coordinating safety matters (access control system, camera system, fire installation)

  • Collaborate with the Production Operations team to increase efficiency and solve bottlenecks.

  • Overseeing & coordinating the realization of a new cleanroom in the foreseeable future

  • Writing new and updating existing procedures and manuals.

  • Building the technical facility team and providing daily leadership.

  • Coordinate the work of the technical facility assistants.

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Diploma holder with extensive experience maybe considered.
