We are looking for an experienced Oracle SaaS Data Migration Specialist to lead and execute data migration initiatives across Oracle Cloud SaaS environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in FBDI, ADFdi, Oracle Cloud SaaS data migration, and PL/SQL, along with a solid understanding of data conversion, validation, reconciliation, and integration processes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating complex business data requirements into reliable migration solutions and ensuring accurate, secure, and timely movement of data into Oracle Cloud applications.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Oracle Cloud SaaS data migration activities across implementation and transformation projects.
  • Analyze source systems and define appropriate data migration strategies, approaches, and timelines.
  • Develop data mapping documents and transformation rules based on business and functional requirements.
  • Prepare, validate, and load data using FBDI (File-Based Data Import) templates and processes.
  • Use ADFdi (Application Desktop Integrator) for data preparation, validation, and Oracle Cloud data upload activities.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries, procedures, scripts, and data-processing routines for extraction and transformation.
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, loading, and reconciliation.
  • Work with functional teams to understand master data, transactional data, dependencies, and business rules.
  • Identify and resolve data-quality issues, transformation errors, rejected records, and migration failures.
  • Execute migration cycles including mock loads, testing, UAT migration, cutover, and production migration.
  • Perform detailed reconciliation between source systems and Oracle Cloud to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop migration-related scripts, utilities, templates, and reusable processes to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor migration execution and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential data issues.
  • Maintain detailed migration documentation, mapping specifications, validation reports, and reconciliation results.
  • Collaborate with Oracle functional consultants, integration teams, developers, business users, and project stakeholders.
  • Support defect resolution and post-migration activities to ensure a smooth transition to Oracle Cloud.
  • Contribute to migration automation and process improvements wherever possible.
  • Ensure migration activities follow appropriate security, governance, quality, and compliance standards.

  • Proven expertise in FBDI and ADFdi for Oracle Cloud data loading and migration.
  • Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and data transformation scripts.
  • Experience with end-to-end data migration processes including data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud data structures, import processes, and migration dependencies.
  • Experience handling large and complex datasets with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot migration errors and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working across multiple Oracle Cloud migration cycles, including mock migration, UAT, cutover, and production deployment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and functional teams.
  • Ability to independently manage migration deliverables while working within complex project timelines.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud implementation or transformation projects will be highly valued.
  • Willingness to work from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, or remotely within India, depending on project requirements.
