Job description

The Global People Data & Technology Specialist is part of a forward-thinking People & Culture team responsible for administering, optimizing, and evolving Sage’s global HR technology ecosystem, including learning, performance, HRIS, compensation, and related platforms. This role combines hands-on HR technology expertise, strong analytical thinking, and a continuous improvement attitude to solve complex problems at the intersection of people and technology.

Your New Role:

Projects & Transformation

  • Drive global HRIS implementations and transformation initiatives to standardize and globalize People & Culture processes, streamline operations across regions, and deliver an integrated, seamless employee experience through connected systems, data, and workflows

  • Conduct user acceptance testing, quality assurance, issue tracking, and post-launch validation activities.

  • Support change readiness activities by preparing training materials, user guides, communications, and rollout support resources.

  • Identify practical opportunities to improve system processes, user experience, and operational efficiency based on day-to-day platform use.

System Administration & Optimization

  • Administer, configure, and maintain global HR technology platforms, including HRIS, learning, performance management, and compensation systems.

  • Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and user access to support reliable day-to-day platform operations.

  • Fix system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with vendors, IT, or internal collaborators as needed.

  • Support system updates, releases, testing, and configuration changes to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience.

  • Maintain system documentation, including configuration details, process guides, testing records, and user support materials.

Integration & Data Management

  • Support the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of integrations across HR technology platforms.

  • Review integration outputs and data feeds to help identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies between connected systems.

  • Perform routine data audits, cleansing, and validation to support accurate and reliable P&C data.

  • Assist with testing data flows, system updates, and integration changes in partnership with IT, vendors, and data teams.

  • Maintain documentation for integration processes, data mappings, audit results, and recurring data management activities.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute recurring P&C reports and dashboards covering important information such as hiring, performance, learning, total rewards, and DEI.

  • Respond to routine and ad hoc reporting requests by gathering requirements, pulling data, and presenting information in a clear and usable format.

  • Review report outputs for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before distribution.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, including data pulls, validation, formatting, and follow-up corrections.

  • Assist with dashboard updates, report enhancements, and basic process improvements to improve reporting efficiency and user experience.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for HR technology questions from P&C team members and employees.

  • Coordinate with vendors to track system issues, follow up on support tickets, and assist with enhancement requests.

  • Partner with IT, Security, and Data teams to support system access, compliance, security, and operational requirements.

  • Assist with vendor evaluations by gathering information, documenting requirements, and supporting comparison of available options.

  • Communicate system updates, changes, and support resources to collaborators to help promote effective system use.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting multiple HR technology platforms, such as Workday, Oracle HCM, Docebo, SuccessFactors, Team Tailor, or similar systems.

  • Working knowledge of HR system configuration, user access, security roles, workflows, testing, and routine system maintenance.

  • Strong Excel skills, including data cleanup, validation, manipulation, reconciliation, and basic analysis.

  • Understanding of HR data structures, data quality, integrations, and data flow between connected systems.

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and validating reports and dashboards using HR systems or business intelligence tools.

  • Ability to support system updates, releases, configuration changes, troubleshooting, and user acceptance testing.

Analytical & Problem Solving

  • Strong analytical attitude with the ability to investigate system issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical resolution steps.

  • Diligent with a structured approach to solve, data validation, and process review.

  • Able to analyze data, reports, and system outputs to identify errors, trends, gaps, or inconsistencies.

  • Comfortable working through ambiguity in a complex, multi-system environment while advancing issues appropriately.

  • Able to prioritize competing issues and resolve problems efficiently while maintaining accuracy and service quality.

Interpersonal & Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical collaborators.

  • Collaborative and service-oriented, with the ability to build effective working relationships across P&C, IT, vendors, and business teams.

  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to timely follow-up, practical support, and high-quality outcomes.

  • Able to gather collaborator needs, clarify requirements, and communicate system updates, issues, and resolutions effectively.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and collaborator requests while maintaining responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting or working with HR technology platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Docebo, Team Tailor, ServiceNow HR, or similar systems.

  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or built-in HR system reporting tools.

  • Exposure to workflow automation, API integrations, system connectors, or tools that improve process efficiency.

  • Understanding of HR data quality, integrations, data mapping, and data flow between systems.

  • Familiarity with workforce reporting, DEI metrics, employee lifecycle data, or people analytics guidelines.

  • Interest in emerging HR technology, including AI-enabled tools, automation, and digital employee experience solutions.

  • Awareness of data privacy and confidentiality requirements, including GDPR or other regional privacy standards.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new systems, improving processes, and helping build a modern global People Technology function.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent professional experience in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, HR Technology, or a related field; degree preferred but not required.

  • HR technology certifications, such as Workday, SAP, Oracle or ServiceNow HR, are a plus.

  • Project management experience or certification is a plus.
