Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for senior product management professionals with substantial experience leading complex products, platforms, and strategic initiatives within Fortune 500 or comparable enterprise environments.

This role supports advanced research focused on how experienced product leaders make decisions at scale. Selected professionals will design realistic enterprise product scenarios, develop authoritative reference outputs, and create evaluation criteria that capture the judgement, trade-offs, and operating context expected from senior product managers.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Product Strategy

  • Develop realistic product scenarios involving multi-quarter roadmap planning and strategic prioritisation
  • Create tasks reflecting the scale and complexity of Fortune 500 product organisations
  • Evaluate product opportunities across customer value, business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment
  • Develop reference strategies for major product, platform, and market decisions
  • Incorporate realistic budget, organisational, and competitive constraints

Roadmaps & Prioritisation

  • Design tasks involving roadmap development, sequencing, and resource allocation
  • Apply prioritisation frameworks such as RICE, opportunity scoring, and OKRs
  • Evaluate trade-offs between competing initiatives and stakeholder priorities
  • Develop reference approaches to portfolio and roadmap decision-making
  • Distinguish strong product judgement from mechanical framework application

Product Discovery & User Research

  • Create scenarios involving product discovery, customer research, and problem validation
  • Apply methodologies such as Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) and dual-track agile
  • Evaluate research findings and translate them into product decisions
  • Assess whether proposed solutions address genuine user and business needs
  • Develop tasks requiring thoughtful interpretation of qualitative and quantitative evidence

Pricing, Packaging & Go-to-Market

  • Build product tasks involving pricing, packaging, positioning, and launch strategy
  • Evaluate commercial trade-offs across adoption, monetisation, customer value, and market fit
  • Create scenarios requiring collaboration across product, sales, marketing, finance, and leadership
  • Develop reference go-to-market strategies for enterprise products
  • Assess decisions involving new offerings, packaging changes, and product-line expansion

Platform & API Product Management

  • Develop scenarios involving platforms, APIs, integrations, and ecosystem strategy
  • Evaluate developer and partner requirements alongside broader business objectives
  • Assess platform governance, adoption, scalability, and prioritisation decisions
  • Create reference outputs for complex platform-product trade-offs
  • Apply practical experience managing products with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Product Analytics & Operations

  • Develop workflows involving tools such as Jira, Productboard, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Figma, and enterprise experimentation platforms
  • Create scenarios around product metrics, experimentation, adoption, and performance
  • Evaluate whether product decisions are supported by appropriate quantitative evidence
  • Review product operations, planning, and cross-functional coordination workflows
  • Develop realistic scenarios reflecting enterprise product-management systems and processes

PRDs & Executive Communication

  • Produce high-quality reference PRDs, roadmap strategies, and product narratives
  • Define clear goals, requirements, assumptions, success metrics, and trade-offs
  • Develop executive-level product recommendations and decision documents
  • Translate complex product reasoning into concise, structured communication
  • Ensure outputs reflect the standards expected in senior enterprise product organisations

Evaluation Criteria & Quality Standards

  • Create structured rubrics for evaluating product-management decisions and outputs
  • Define what constitutes strong strategic judgement, evidence use, prioritisation, and execution
  • Distinguish authentic senior product thinking from generic framework recall
  • Identify missing assumptions, weak trade-off analysis, and superficial recommendations
  • Apply consistent quality standards across assigned product scenarios

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of professional product management or product leadership experience
  • Significant experience within a Fortune 500 technology company, enterprise organisation, or similarly complex product environment
  • Direct ownership of major products, platforms, or product lines with measurable business impact
  • Experience with product strategy, roadmap planning, discovery, pricing, platform products, or product-led growth
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise product tools such as Jira, Productboard, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Figma, or comparable platforms
  • Practical knowledge of product methodologies including JTBD, RICE, opportunity scoring, dual-track agile, and OKRs
  • Strong understanding of enterprise budgeting, governance, cross-functional decision-making, and executive stakeholder alignment
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality PRDs, product strategies, or executive product documentation
  • Experience developing training materials, structured assessments, or evaluation rubrics is advantageous
  • Excellent written communication and ability to explain product decisions clearly and precisely

Engagement Details

  • Fully remote
  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
  • Compensation: $70–$80/hour
  • Work focuses on enterprise product scenario development, reference-output creation, and evaluation criteria
