Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced product professionals with strong expertise in product launches, experimentation, readiness assessment, and cross-functional execution.

This role focuses on reviewing professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials related to product launches and experimentation workflows. Selected experts will assess outputs for strategic quality, analytical rigour, execution readiness, presentation quality, and overall professional credibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess launch criteria, milestones, ownership, and decision points
  • Identify missing risks, unresolved dependencies, and weak execution assumptions
  • Determine whether a product or feature is genuinely ready to launch

Experiment Design & Readiness

  • Review experimentation plans, hypotheses, success metrics, and test structures
  • Assess whether experiments are designed to answer the intended business or product question
  • Evaluate control groups, treatment definitions, measurement plans, and decision criteria
  • Identify confounding factors, weak assumptions, and incomplete experiment logic
  • Assess whether proposed tests are sufficiently robust to support downstream decisions

Metrics & Success Criteria

  • Review launch and experiment KPIs for relevance and clarity
  • Evaluate whether primary, secondary, and guardrail metrics are appropriately selected
  • Assess measurement frameworks and success thresholds
  • Identify metrics that may create misleading conclusions or incentives
  • Verify alignment between stated objectives and evaluation criteria

Risk & Dependency Review

  • Identify operational, technical, commercial, and customer-experience risks
  • Evaluate contingency plans and launch rollback criteria
  • Review dependencies across teams, systems, and external stakeholders
  • Assess whether critical risks have appropriate owners and mitigation plans
  • Distinguish material readiness issues from minor execution concerns

Documents & Presentation Review

  • Evaluate launch documents, experiment briefs, spreadsheets, and slide decks
  • Review executive presentations for clarity, structure, and decision usefulness
  • Identify factual, analytical, formatting, and presentation issues
  • Assess whether charts, tables, and supporting visuals accurately communicate underlying analysis
  • Ensure recommendations are clearly supported by evidence and stated assumptions

Structured Evaluation & Feedback

  • Assess assigned outputs against domain-specific quality criteria
  • Identify strategic, analytical, operational, and presentation errors
  • Distinguish substantive readiness gaps from minor editorial issues
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback explaining identified strengths and weaknesses
  • Apply evaluation standards consistently across documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials

Ideal Profile

  • Strong hands-on experience preparing products or major features for launch
  • Practical experience designing, reviewing, or interpreting product experiments
  • Strong understanding of product metrics, hypothesis testing, rollout planning, and go/no-go decision-making
  • Experience coordinating complex cross-functional product initiatives
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint / Google Slides
  • Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise, structured feedback
  • Strong attention to strategic, analytical, and presentation detail
  • Master's degree or higher from a recognised institution is advantageous
