Job description

Summary: Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Fair Lending Analyst at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The CRA and Fair Lending Analyst is responsible for gathering data from primary and secondary data sources, ensuring the accuracy of transaction documentation, and developing as well as validating management reports. The role will also involve overseeing CRA data sources, which includes the validation of CRA eligible activities, the creation of analytic reports, and the management of data quality control measures.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

    • Support implementation and administration of all aspects of the Bank’s CRA Program designed to ensure that the Bank complies with technical and substantive provisions of the CRA and Fair Lending laws and regulations.
    • Oversight and verification of NYS Part 76 reporting from data collection, monitoring, and reporting processes for all finalized commercial loan applications.
    • Oversee management, validation, and submission of Community Development, HMDA, and CRA Small Business loan applications (LAR) to regulators.
    • Analyze Community Development, HMDA, and CRA Small Business loan applications to create CRA performance reports for Lending by leveraging CRA software.
    • Utilize CRA software to assess Fair Lending performance, identify trends, and uncover disparities related to protected characteristics or geographic and income factors.
    • Review community development loans, investments, grants, and services for CRA eligibility.
    • Ensure accurate data collection and participate in data quality control process for CRA reporting and examinations.
    • Collaborate with business lines and operations to ensure data accuracy and documentation of CRA eligible activities.
    • Participate in CRA compliance self-evaluations and assist lines of business in monitoring CRA performance including site closure and opening assessments.
    • Organize and maintain community service events from inception to completion.
    • Assist with examination preparation.
    • Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of CRA and Fair Lending.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge and experience in CRA and financial services industry a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act with experience in CRA data management or compliance a plus.
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) and navigation of Internet.
  • Strong organization and ability to track projects, requests, and reporting requirements.
  • General to working knowledge of banking industry and services. Knowledge of residential lending a plus.
  • Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business acumen and commitment to profitably serving low and moderate-income clients and neighborhoods in innovative ways.
