The Role
We are seeking a Financial Analyst with strong analytical skills to join our Erskine Park team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a critical role in providing financial insights and projections to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and developing financial models to guide Covetrus’ financial planning and performance.

Your responsibilities will include –

  • Conducting comprehensive financial analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and to provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Preparation of accurate and concise financial reports, including monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, variance analysis, and financial performance summaries.
  • Assisting in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasting cycles through collaborate with business stakeholders to gather input, review assumptions, and validate financial projections.
  • Monitoring actual performance against budget and forecasts, identifying and explaining variances to stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decision-making.
  • Data management through the collection, organisation and validation of financial data from multiple data sources.

About You

Ideally you will display –

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance combined with CA/CPA accreditation (or working towards).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
  • Sound business analysis skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A driven attitude with a motivation to deliver and progress within the organisation.
  • Experience using Power BI and Excel for financial analysis, with exposure to developing reports using Power Query and DAX and working with complex, multi-sheet Excel workbooks.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to identify process improvement opportunities, automate routine tasks, and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
