About the role

We are seeking an innovative and visionary Vice President of Organic Search to lead the strategic direction, evolution, and growth of our SEO practice. This leader will define our agency's SEO vision, ensuring we remain at the forefront of an industry being rapidly transformed by AI, generative search, and emerging search experiences.

The VP of Organic Search will be responsible for building a future-ready SEO organization that embraces innovation while maintaining technical excellence and strategic fundamentals that drive long-term organic growth for our clients. This leader will develop scalable methodologies, leverage automation and AI to improve efficiency and performance, and establish our agency as an industry leader in modern search.

As a member of the agency leadership team, this individual will partner closely with leaders across Paid Media, Client Success, and Revenue to create integrated digital marketing solutions that maximize business outcomes for clients.

What you'll do

Define the Future of Our SEO Practice

• Establish and execute the agency's long-term SEO vision and roadmap

• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, search platforms, and industry trends to keep the agency ahead of the market

• Lead the agency's strategic response to the evolution of search, including:
• • AI-powered search experiences

• • Large Language Model optimization

• • Zero-click search experiences

• Evolving search behavior across traditional and AI-driven platforms

• Develop new service offerings that position the agency as a leader in next-generation search

Drive Innovation & Thought Leadership

• Champion experimentation, research, and continuous learning across the SEO organization

• Build frameworks for testing emerging search technologies and AI-driven optimization strategies

• Represent the agency as an industry thought leader through webinars, client education, and more

• Foster a culture that balances innovation with measurable business impact

Scale Through AI & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate workflows while improving quality, consistency, and speed

• Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered tools that increase efficiency across technical SEO, content, reporting, research, and analysis

• Design scalable operating models that allow the agency to grow without sacrificing quality

• Build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, templates, and processes that improve operational excellence

Client Strategy & Executive Leadership

• Serve as a strategic advisor for key enterprise clients

• Lead high-impact strategy sessions and presentations

• Partner with Revenue team on new business opportunities and strategic pitches

• Provide executive guidance on complex SEO initiatives and emerging search challenges

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing SEO team

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SEO experience

• 5+ years building and leading high-performing SEO teams

• Demonstrated success developing SEO strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes

• Experience operating within an agency environment

• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence clients and senior stakeholders
