The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in either Auburn, NY, Pelham, NY, Staten Island, NY, Uniondale, NY, or Williston Park, NY. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid or remote position.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of client’s personal insurance needs, from information gathering, preparing applications and renewal marketing to policy administration.

  • Explain coverages and types of policies, suggest specific coverage enhancements, and resolve general customer inquiries.

  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, their representatives and insurance company personnel.

  • Accurately and efficiently maintain electronic client account records and electronic file documentation while processing rewrites, endorsements, cancellations and renewals.

  • Participate as a Team member in a fast-paced, growing sales environment open to continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school degree or GED required

  • NY State Personal Lines license required

  • Minimum of 3 years personal insurance experience required

  • Exceptional aptitude for customer service with a minimum of five years of Personal Insurance industry experience required, including

  • Experience with personal middle market carriers such as Travelers, Hanover, Utica, Plymouth Rock, and high net worth carriers such as Chubb, PURE, Berkley One & Cincinnati.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Upbeat attitude and strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AMS.

  • Compensation: $65,000- $75,000/yr.
