Job description

Salesforce Administrator

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of an established organisation looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join its team and take ownership of the day-to-day administration, support and ongoing improvement of its Salesforce platform.

The successful candidate will become a key internal Salesforce expert, working within an established governance framework and acting as the key link between business users and the organisation’s Salesforce implementation partner.

We are particularly interested in candidates with Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience, as the organisation is looking to build greater internal capability in this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Salesforce user onboarding, offboarding, permissions and access.

  • Provide day-to-day user support and initial troubleshooting.

  • Support users with validation errors and Salesforce process-related queries.

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards.

  • Deliver user training, onboarding and refresher sessions.

  • Maintain Salesforce configuration and support small system changes and enhancements.

  • Manage and prioritise Salesforce issues and enhancement requests.

  • Ensure changes are managed in line with the organisation’s Salesforce governance framework.

  • Maintain a good understanding of the Salesforce configuration, processes and integrations.

  • Support the administration and ongoing development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including smaller changes to campaigns, journeys and automations.

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, particularly Journey Builder, Automation Studio and Email Studio.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to translate campaign requirements into Marketing Cloud journeys, automations and communications.

  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience, adoption and business processes.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with 3–5 years’ experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration and configuration.

  • Experience supporting and training Salesforce users.

  • Experience with reports, dashboards, permissions and Salesforce automation.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working with both business users and external technical partners.

  • Organised and able to work within a structured governance and change-control environment.

  • Marketing Cloud experience is desirable, particularly experience managing campaigns, journeys and automations.

  • Salesforce Administrator certification would be advantageous.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can become the go-to Salesforce person internally – confident enough to manage the day-to-day platform independently, while experienced enough to recognise when to involve the organisation’s implementation partner or more senior internal team members.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in embedding Salesforce across the organisation while helping to develop and strengthen its internal Marketing Cloud capability.
