Job description

Setup and Location: WFH
Work Schedule: 9:00AM to 6:00PM (QLD) | 7:00AM to 4:00PM (PH)
Employment Type: Full-time

Ready to do work that actually excites you?
We are seeking a hands-on Software Developer who can move confidently from process discovery to production delivery. You will work closely with users to understand how work is actually performed, distinguish symptoms from root causes, and identify where software can remove delay, repetition and risk. You will then design, build, deploy
and support maintainable solutions across our CAD Plugin, web application and AWS environment. Advanced CAD modelling knowledge is not required. The essential capability is translating complex business and engineering workflows into dependable software with measurable operational value.

What You Will Do
  • Partner with users and stakeholders to map end-to-end workflows, clarify requirements, and expose constraints,
  • handoffs, duplicate data, manual checks and failure points.
  • Assess and prioritise automation opportunities using business value, time saved, risk reduction, technical feasibility and long-term maintainability.
  • Design, build and maintain the CAD Plugin for Autodesk Revit using C#, .NET, the Revit API and WPF, with dependable behaviour across supported Revit versions.
  • Develop and maintain custom web applications, backend APIs, dashboards, reports, authentication and system integrations using ASP.NET Core and React.
  • Engineer secures and resilient integrations between the CAD Plugin, web application and AWS services, supported by validation, logging, observability and offline or retry handling.
  • Establish and operate production environments on AWS using EC2, RDS, S3, IAM and CloudWatch, with appropriate security, monitoring, backups and recovery procedures.
  • Manage the software delivery lifecycle through Git, code review, testing, CI/CD, documentation, CAD Plugin installers, auto-update packages, versioning and controlled releases

Requirements

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Proven commercial experience delivering and supporting production software, with ownership from requirements and design through release and ongoing support.
  • Strong C# and .NET skills, including object-oriented design, clean architecture, asynchronous programming, debugging and the development of testable, maintainable code.
  • Hands-on experience developing a CAD Plugin or other software extensions for a complex desktop host application.
  • Experience with WPF, Autodesk Revit or another CAD platform is valuable but not essential.
  • Full-stack web development experience covering backend APIs, authentication, reporting, data integration and modern JavaScript interfaces. ASP.NET Core and React experience is strongly relevant.
  • Practical experience operating cloud-hosted production systems on AWS, with sound knowledge of deployment, security, monitoring, backup and recovery.
  • Strong Git-based engineering practices, including code review, repeatable builds, testing, installer creation, versioned releases and automated deployment.
  • Clear analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous operational problems into well- defined software requirements and sound technical decisions.
Highly Advantageous
  • Autodesk Revit API and cross-version CAD Plugin delivery, particularly within CAD/BIM, MEP, piping, fabrication or engineering automation.
  • Computational geometry, Revit solids and connectors, fabrication parts, STEP files or other manufacturing-oriented outputs.
  • Installer engineering with Inno Setup or comparable tooling, including prerequisites, upgrades, rollback and autoupdate behaviour.
