Job description

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer for its Johnston, Rhode Island location.

Responsibilities:

•    Design and implement business critical cloud-based Platform solutions with automation-first mindset, observability, container design patterns, and best of breed cloud tools. 
•    Collaboratively solve business and technology problems in partnership with key stakeholders from Digital Platform team, security, enterprise architecture and product owners. 
•    Contribute to container, microservices application code base with a focus on optimization for performance, reliability, scalability, security, observability and cost. 
•    Develop and implement solutions for non-functional requirements with a focus on automation, whitebox monitoring, and modularity for broad re-use across system components. 
•    Design and implement CI/CD deployment pipelines and test automation frameworks based on best practices to enable frequent, high-quality releases. 
•    Define and implement application deployment strategies based on application type.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Application Security Engineer, Software Engineer or related position developing cloud platforms and automated cloud solutions. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the specified fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.

Must have at least 3 years of experience with:

•    Using Terraform to develop cloud platforms and automated cloud solutions, including infrastructure-as-code for instantiate cloud solutions; 
•    Utilizing Terraform and Jenkins to automate and maintain large AWS Cloud Infrastructure for enterprise operations; 
•    Performing cloud Unix Administration, computer networking network security, Server management, Cloud automation using Fortify, Contrast, Nexus IQ, Prisma, Soteri Scan, and SonarQube; 
•    Scheduling, deploying, and managing infrastructure on Kubernetes clusters; 
•    Using AWS and Openshift Cloud to design cloud architecture for optimized performance, reliability, scale, security and cost; 
•    Programming within a continuous delivery framework, utilizing Java, NodeJS, Python, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and Ruby; 
•    Migration of on-premises infrastructure to Cloud native including upgrading monolithic applications to microservices using tools, including Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Datadog; 
•    Building and managing RedHat, Amazon, and Linux AMIs, including administration of operating systems; 
•    Experience implementing Cloud automation tools using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Jenkins; and 
•    Providing security remediation-related services and support to meet the latest compliance and organizational patch governance requirements.

100% remote work permitted from any US location.
