We are seeking a hands-on Lead Quality Engineer (FTE) to drive the testing strategy, automation framework maintenance, and quality delivery for our high-impact Clienteling application. The ideal candidate will blend deep functional and technical expertise in mobile and API automation with proven leadership skills to guide a high-performing QE team.

A day in the life of a Lead Quality Engineer, Design Services...

  • Define, own, and drive the overarching test strategy and planning for complex projects and product areas, ensuring alignment with iterative delivery

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth, providing constructive feedback, and promoting a collaborative team environment

  • Partner with engineering and product managers to define test strategy, understand requirements, define clear acceptance criteria, and champion building quality into the development process

  • Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks

  • Champion and establish quality engineering best practices, standards, and metrics within the team and across projects

  • Lead end-to-end testing efforts for strategic programs, potentially involving multiple agile teams and complex integrations

  • Drive the analysis of quality data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver highly cross-functional and complex work, ensuring quality across all touchpoints

  • Stay abreast of new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies, and advocate for their adoption where beneficial to enhance the team’s ability to deliver high-quality software iteratively

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Define the comprehensive Test Strategy and Test Plan for the Clienteling app ecosystem

  • Lead, mentor, and allocate work to a team of QE engineers

  • Drive the adoption of XCUITest (UI) and Playwright (API) frameworks, ensuring high CI/CD pipeline integration and minimal flaky tests

  • Own the end-to-end defect lifecycle, triaging, tracking, and prioritizing bugs in collaboration with Product and Dev teams

  • Act as the primary QE point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment on risk assessments and release readiness

  • Prior experience testing Retail, POS, or Clienteling/CRM mobile applications

  • Strong understanding of iOS app deployment processes (TestFlight, App Store Connect)
