Job Summary: 

The EU Supply Chain Lead is the single-threaded owner of end-to-end logistics performance and build-out across the European region. This role is responsible for designing, launching, and scaling the regional logistics network, ensuring best-in-class cost, service, and delivery speed.

Operating as a core member of the regional leadership team, this role acts as the primary partner to the COO in-region, translating global logistics strategy into scalable, high-performing operations while shaping key decisions based on regional realities.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategy, execution, and team building during a critical scale-up phase.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Build & Own the EU Supply Chain Setup 

  • Lead the end-to-end setup of the EU logistics network incl set up of labelling solution in EU warehouse

  • Ensure the initial setup is scalable, cost-efficient, and operationally robust 

  • Ensure logistics is a proactive enabler of growth, not a constraint 

2. End-to-End Performance Ownership

  • Own regional logistics KPIs across i) Cost (transport, warehousing, handling), ii) Service levels (OTIF, delivery promise accuracy), and iii) Speed (lead times, delivery SLAs) 

  • Drive trade-off decisions across transportation, warehousing, and inventory 

  • Establish full visibility and control over performance drivers 

3. Strategic Partner to COO (Regional Translation & Feedback Loop)

  • Act as the go-to logistics counterpart to the COO in Europe

  • Translate global strategy into executable regional plans 

  • Provide structured feedback to global teams on i) market constraints, ii) performance gaps, and iii) optimization opportunities.

  • Proactively challenge and refine global assumptions based on EU realities 

4. Compliance & Regulatory Coordination

  • Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure EU regulatory requirements are met across logistics operations

  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and external partners on labeling, documentation, and market-specific requirements

  • Translate compliance needs into operational execution across warehouses, 3PLs, and distribution flows

  • Identify risks and dependencies and drive resolution across stakeholders

5. Team Build & Leadership

  • Act as logistics representative within the regional leadership team 

  • Lead a lean, high-performing regional logistics team, including 3PL / Warehouse Manager, Transportation Manager, and Inventory Planner 

  • Coach team on Carrier & 3PL Strategy and Execution, as well as collaborate with global to ensure global strategy and guardrails are followed.

6. Continuous Optimization & Scale

  • Identify and execute cost and efficiency improvements early 

  • Optimize network design (warehouse footprint, routing, inventory placement) 

  • Lead regional logistics projects (process improvements, system enhancements) 


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

   Required:

  • 10+ years in logistics / supply chain, with strong EU exposure 

  • Proven experience in building or scaling logistics operations (warehouse + transport + inventory) 

  • Strong hands-on experience with 3PLs, carrier networks, and multi-country distribution 

  • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority

  • Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-scaling environments 

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and deeply operational levels 

  • Strong stakeholder management across global and regional teams 

  • Data-driven, execution-focused, and comfortable making trade-offs

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related discipline or equivalent additional experience required

Work EnvironmentThe noise in the work environment is usually moderate.  Other factors are:

 

  • Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions

  • Company uniforms, closed-toed shoes, casual work environment

  • Warehouse environment, may be required to wear safety equipment

  • Ability to work extended hours as required

Travel: The role is based in Netherlands, with frequent travel between Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
