About the Role

As a Workday Grants Management Consultant, you will lead and support small to medium enterprise Workday implementations and optimization engagements. You will serve as a subject matter expert across Core Financials and related product areas, partnering with finance leaders to design and deploy solutions that align with business strategy and operational goals.

You will be responsible for guiding clients through discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, data conversion, and go-live, while ensuring adherence to best practices and scalable design principles. This role requires strong financial systems knowledge, the ability to lead design discussions, and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery sessions to understand client processes, reporting requirements, and system landscape

• Design and configure Workday solutions

• Facilitate design meetings and workshops, driving alignment and collaborative decision-making

• Translate business requirements into scalable system configurations

• Support data conversion, integrations, testing strategy, and deployment activities

• Manage deliverables in alignment with project timelines and milestones

• Partner with senior leaders to recommend best practices and process improvements

• Stay current on Workday releases and new features, advising clients on optimization opportunities

• Contribute to internal capability building, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on Workday Financials implementation experience, with at least 1–2 full lifecycle implementations specifically leading Grants Management for Non-Profit organizations or NGOs.

• Workday Certification: Active or recent Workday Certification in Grants Management

• Non-Profit Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of non-profit accounting principles, federal grant regulations, and donor reporting.

• Technical Expertise: Understanding of the Workday Customer Contracts and Billing frameworks, as they are the foundational architecture for Workday Grants.

• Change Management: Experience guiding non-profit organizations transitioning from legacy fund-accounting systems into Workday.

Other Requirements

• Demonstrates a strong grasp of financial systems, accounting principles, and finance operational processes

• Ability to gain and maintain a detailed understanding of Workday concepts, Core FINS enhancements, and cross-application features

• Experience influencing, interacting, and collaborating with senior leaders (internally and externally)

• Capable of leading and influencing design meetings toward effective, scalable outcomes

• Ability to deliver results while managing to a defined project plan and timeline

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work across multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced consulting environment
