Job description

As a Staff Technical Product Manager at Unity, you will be part of the platform product management team with a focus on the systems and capabilities that bring Unity's features to the mobile ecosystem, ensuring developers get a seamless, high-quality experience on every device they ship to. This is a senior role driving the mobile platform roadmap across performance optimization, cross-platform expansion, and developer tooling. You'll be embedded alongside our engineering teams, gathering detailed data and feedback to help shape our roadmaps and providing insight into customer use, demand for shipped features, features in development, and future areas of growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the mobile platform roadmap, identifying where Unity must invest so developers can ship high-quality, high-performing games across the full range of mobile hardware.

  • Work closely with customers and platform PMs to discover new user needs, define feature requirements, and validate features in development.

  • Negotiate and align with platform partners to keep Unity ahead of platform shifts and new device categories.

  • Translate highly technical roadmaps into strategic narratives for executive and external audiences, and serve as connective tissue across Unity's platform teams so cross-team concerns are surfaced, aligned on, and planned appropriately.

What we’re looking for

  • Technical product management experience shipping complex developer tools or OS-level products, or a strong engineering or game development background in combination.

  • Deep mobile platform fluency, including a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, APIs, and hardware abstraction.

  • A proven track record of influencing senior leadership, navigating large organizational dependencies, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong technical communication skills and the ability to convert customer feedback and requests into hidden needs and deeper goals, while articulating sophisticated concepts concisely for non-technical collaborators.

  • Strong analytical abilities and experience working with data analysis tools, and demonstrated user empathy and data-driven decision-making.

You might also have (optional)

  • Hands-on experience shipping a game or interactive application using Unity, or other real-time 3D development tools.

  • Experience with performance profiling and optimization on mobile hardware.

Base Salary Range: We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location:

Zone B: $178,300 - $267,500 USD gross

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position.
