Job description

Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Analyst role is primarily responsible for Collections within the Account Receivable department - duties include: manual/custom Invoicing, reconciling outstanding account balances, and preparation of periodic reports on accounts receivable and past due status. Responsible for collection activities including sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts on repayment terms/non terms, and decisions on referring accounts for escalation and/or write off consideration.

 

Other duties include interfacing with Cash Applications group withing AR for receipt and posting of cash receipts, Credit Notes and Refunds, Prepaid Order release, Bank Reconciliation, and processing bank disputes. #LI-CJ

Responsibilities:

-Meet or exceed targeted collections metrics such as: 90% accounts touched, 85% current portfolio balance, and other quantitative targets

-Accountable for reporting any disputed/short paid invoices, identifying root cause, and collaborating with clients or internal departments to expedite resolution/payment

-Escalate major collection issues with Management that may require special attention/support

-Assist the cash applications department with resolving payment application discrepancies ensuring adjustments are completed in a timely fashion

-Support and develop accounts receivable lean process improvements

-Prepare proposals for agency placement and write off to bad debt

Qualifications:

-High school diploma and relevant degree (Accounting/Finance a plus)

-One or more years accounts receivable experience  

-Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Office and Excel

-Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers

-Proficient English (excellent verbal and written skills)

-Excellent organization skills

 

Preferences

-Previous Oracle experience and SFDC  

-Business knowledge of Accounting & Finance process/procedures  

-Working knowledge of collections
