We’ve built a next-generation platform and embedded payment API designed around an intelligent wallet architecture that allows businesses of all kinds to receive, manage, exchange and send money all over the world. XTRM operates using a fully distributed team spanning many countries. We are a high growth company, with over 1,500 global customers.

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Certified Technical Architect with a strong foundation in ASP.NET Core, Web API, MSSQL, and Azure cloud services. You will be responsible for designing and overseeing the architecture of scalable, secure, and modern enterprise-grade solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with cloud-native components like Azure Service Bus, AKS, Functions, API Management, and Event Grid, while also being proficient in traditional .NET-based web development and integration patterns.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture and design using NET Core, Web API, and MSSQL Server.
  • Architect and implement microservices and containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Design scalable and secure APIs and expose them using Azure API Management.
  • Define and implement event-driven architectures using Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, and Logic Apps.
  • Create serverless components using Azure Functions to orchestrate background workflows and event processing.
  • Manage secrets and sensitive configuration via Azure Key Vault.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
  • Establish architecture governance and enforce best practices across development teams.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentorship, and architectural blueprints.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to define CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud deployment strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

Backend & Web Technologies

  • Deep experience with NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and RESTful API services
  • Strong understanding of Entity Framework / EF Core, LINQ, and repository patterns
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server: database design, performance tuning, and stored procedures

Azure Cloud Expertise

  • Experience designing and implementing solutions using:
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs
  • Azure API Management (APIM)
  • Azure Functions, Logic Apps
  • Azure Key Vault, App Configuration
  • Familiarity with cloud security, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and role-based access controls
  • Knowledge of cloud observability tools like Application Insights, Log Analytics

Architecture & Leadership

  • Expertise in microservices architecture, API versioning, and containerized deployments
  • Solid understanding of domain-driven design (DDD), clean architecture, and design patterns
  • Ability to lead solution architecture and articulate decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum environments, Git-based workflows, and DevOps tools
  • Strong skills in architectural documentation and system integration diagrams

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to OpenAPI / Swagger, gRPC, or protobuf
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud solutions
