Software Developer



Overview

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Laravel developer with a strong grasp of backend systems, frontend integration, and API communication, while also being comfortable navigating localization tools and workflows. The role involves building and maintaining internal systems, improving localization pipelines, and supporting the technical needs of multilingual content production.



Reports to: Head of Product



Key Responsibilities:

Software Development:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (Laravel 11+ preferred).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and enhancements.
  • Work with relational databases (MySQL), ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Integrate modern front-end tools including Livewire and Alpine.js.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs.
  • Use Git for version control and manage deployment workflows.
  • Explore and implement AI/ML features using Python, OpenAI API, or similar technologies (as applicable).
  • Experience with Genesys is a plus





Documentation and Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, updates, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in all aspects of system maintenance and user management.

Solutions Architect Support:

  • Participate in client calls to provide technical guidance and propose solutions for complex localization requirements.
  • Research and recommend tools, programs, or workflows to meet client-specific needs and improve project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement tailored localization solutions.



Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English -  You will be communicating with an international team
  • Experience in PHP/Laravel (Laravel 11+ ideal).
  • Comfortable working with MySQL or similar relational databases.
  • Good understanding of front-end development with Livewire and Alpine.js.
  • Proficient in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Familiar with version control (Git) and modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience or interest in localization workflows, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience developing integrations with different platforms.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new localization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively and propose alternatives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team player.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Genesys Platform knowledge is desirable.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of AI/ML tools, Python, OpenAI API, or similar platforms.

Desired locations: Portugal, Czech Republic, Poland, India, Romania, Ukraine

Contract: Contractor basis for a total of 9 months with possibility of extension depending on the business needs

Salary: $2,000 - $2,700/month depending on experience


Compensation: $2,000 - $2,700/month
