Job description

Position: Platform & Learning Experience Manager
Company: Ad Astra, Inc.
Location: Remote (EST Time Zone)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are building something that does not exist yet — and we need someone who can build it with us.

Ad Astra is a communication company. Not a language services firm — a communication company. The difference matters, and it is the most consequential move we are making in 2026.

Ad Astra Skills Academy is the largest platform expansion of the year. It is a module of AdAstra
Connect — our communication infrastructure platform — and the person in this role is the accountable owner for turning a library of proven training content into a platform business.

What You Will Own

  • Digitization of a full training portfolio end to end (40-hour medical, 44-hour legal, Cultural Interpreter, and federal client-specific programs)
  • Product ownership of the Skills Academy module — backlog, sprint planning, architecture decisions, QA gates, and release planning
  • The AdAstra Connect integration: assessment results, certifications, and training history written directly to linguist records
  • Opening the platform to third-party trainers and establishing the free-versus-paid content model
  • Creation of three new revenue lines: interpreter continuing education, client-licensed learning programs, and AI Agent Training engagements

The Non-Negotiable

Technology fluency. You will run sprint reviews with engineers in the morning and qualification-standard conversations with Recruitment in the afternoon. If you cannot confidently engage with engineers, data models, integrations, and platform architecture, this is not the role for you.

You Will Need

  • 3 - 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner, Platform Manager, or Technical Program Manager in a platform environment
  • Hands-on LMS and platform architecture fluency — SCORM/xAPI, SSO, video delivery infrastructure, assessment engines, credential tracking, and learning analytics
  • Experience working inside engineering teams, not simply adjacent to them
  • Ability to write technical specifications and translate complex requirements into business decisions
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, data models, and SaaS platforms
  • AI governance awareness including adaptive learning, agentic features, privacy, and security-by-design principles
  • Minimum four-hour daily overlap with 9:00 AM–5:00 PM US Eastern

Success in This Role

This is a build role. You will inherit content, a development team, and a strategy. You will be measured on whether Skills Academy is live, integrated into AdAstra Connect, actively used by learners, and generating revenue within twelve months.
