Job description

Join Scissero – The Law Firm of the Future

About Us

Scissero is an AI-enhanced legal services company built for financial institutions. We combine expert legal support with intelligent automation transforming how transactional law is delivered.

We’re not a traditional law firm. We are a diverse and globally distributed team of lawyers, engineers, and innovators working across the U.S, EMEA, and APAC. We believe technology augments, not replaces legal expertise. Our culture values collaboration, inclusivity, and flexibility.

Position Overview:

As a Legal Specialist, you will work directly on live private equity, M&A, and financing transactions for leading global investment firms, asset managers, and corporates. You will review, draft, and negotiate NDAs and ancillary transaction documentation in accordance with client-approved playbooks, ensuring full alignment with sponsor-side legal and commercial positions.

You will leverage our proprietary AI-enabled platform to assist with document review, deviation identification, and playbook application. The platform enhances speed, consistency, and accuracy, enabling you to deliver high-quality legal work at scale while maintaining full ownership and accountability for the final output.

This role sits at the core of our legal delivery team, supporting fast-moving, high-value transactions where precision, responsiveness, and reliability are critical. You will work closely with colleagues across our global legal team to deliver seamless support across concurrent deals, collaborating to maintain exceptional standards of quality and consistency. You will also partner with our product and engineering teams, helping refine and improve the AI tools that underpin our delivery model.

Working hours: 9am-6pm GMT

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs and ancillary transaction documents across private equity, M&A, and financing transactions.

  • Apply client-specific playbooks and structured frameworks to ensure alignment with agreed client positions.

  • Identify deviations from playbook positions and implement appropriate fallback language in line with client guidance.

  • Manage your own workflow and document queue, prioritising effectively to meet defined turnaround times and service levels.

  • Support live deal execution across multiple concurrent transactions in fast-paced environments.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across our global legal team to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.

  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to maintain operational efficiency and service excellence.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and delivery workflows.

Required Experience:

  • LLB Degree or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years of experience in transactional legal work, contract review, or similar high-volume legal environments.

  • Experience reviewing NDAs and/or similar transactional agreements.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • You enjoy working within clearly defined rules and guidance, with a strong preference for applying structured playbooks rather than navigating legal ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Enthusiasm for new technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, with a desire to innovate within the legal industry.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting private equity, M&A, capital markets, or financing transactions.

  • Experience at law firms, ALSPs, Big 4 legal teams, or in-house legal departments.

Global Benefits

  • Hybrid and remote working options, with the ability to request to work from other countries (upon request)

  • Paid Sick Leave days per year to recover or care for family.

  • Confidential Support: Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering mental health and wellbeing support.

  • Professional Development: 7 days per year of paid study leave annually for exams and structured learning.

  • Annual Bonus: Discretionary and performance based.

  • Generous Paid Time Off: Annual leave, plus public holidays.

At Scissero, you’ll be part of a scale-up blending law and technology to create meaningful impact. If you’re excited about redefining the future of legal services with AI, apply now to join our team.
