About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading enterprise organization undergoing large-scale digital transformation, is seeking an experienced Application Architect to drive application modernization initiatives with a strong focus on AWS migration.

This is a high-impact contract role supporting complex environments within a multi-supplier ecosystem. You will play a critical role in shaping target-state architecture and guiding modernization strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead application modernization initiatives and cloud migration strategies

  • Design and document reference architectures aligned to AWS best practices

  • Conduct architecture impact assessments across complex environments

  • Produce architectural artefacts to support design decisions and governance

  • Collaborate within a multi-supplier delivery model

  • Provide technical direction for legacy-to-cloud transitions

  • Support architectural governance and ensure alignment to enterprise standards

Required Experience

  • Proven experience leading AWS migration programs

  • Strong background in application architecture within enterprise environments

  • Experience working in a multi-vendor / multi-supplier ecosystem

  • Demonstrated ability to create:

    • Reference architectures

    • Architectural decision records

    • Impact analysis documentation

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years UK residency required
