Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our team in Kingsville, MD. The Medical Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for medical procedures, ensuring that all patient needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities: - Schedule appointments for medical procedures based on physician availability, patient preferences, and medical facility resources - Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide necessary information, and address any questions or concerns - Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for physicians, medical staff, and facilities - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure that all necessary equipment and resources are available for scheduled procedures - Monitor and manage cancellations and rescheduling requests, ensuring that all changes are communicated and documented appropriately - Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations for procedures as needed - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times - Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner - Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred - Previous experience as a medical scheduler or in a similar role preferred - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software - Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures We offer competitive salary and benefits packages, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
