Selected professionals will assess lyrics, vocal performance, musicality, creativity, production quality, and prompt adherence while producing detailed annotations across genres, song structures, instrumentation, and audio characteristics.

Key Responsibilities

Generative Music Evaluation

  • Compare AI-generated music samples and determine which output performs more effectively
  • Evaluate musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and overall production
  • Assess lyrics, melody, arrangement, instrumentation, and stylistic consistency
  • Identify audio artifacts, unnatural vocal delivery, structural weaknesses, and production issues
  • Explain evaluation decisions clearly using appropriate musical and audio-engineering terminology

Japanese Lyrics & Vocal Review

  • Evaluate Japanese-language lyrics for accuracy, fluency, natural phrasing, and creative quality
  • Assess pronunciation, vocal expression, lyrical delivery, and alignment between words and music
  • Identify grammatical, cultural, contextual, or stylistic issues in generated lyrics
  • Review whether sung content maintains coherence across verses, choruses, and other song sections

Music Annotation & Classification

  • Classify tracks by genre, subgenre, musical style, and production characteristics
  • Annotate song structure, instrumentation, vocal qualities, rhythm, harmony, and arrangement
  • Apply structured taxonomies consistently across different tracks and musical categories
  • Document notable transitions, production techniques, and performance characteristics

Audio Quality & Training Data Review

  • Score music samples for suitability and quality within structured evaluation workflows
  • Review audio for mix balance, clarity, dynamics, frequency content, and production polish
  • Distinguish between creative variation and technical quality issues
  • Maintain consistent review standards across repeated assignments and calibration exercises

  • Formal training covering musical performance, theory, composition, or lyric writing is highly relevant
  • Conservatory education, studio experience, or equivalent professional expertise may also be considered
  • Practical experience producing, recording, mixing, or evaluating Japanese-language music is especially valuable

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital audio workstations and professional recording or mixing workflows
  • Background in songwriting, lyric writing, vocal production, or music supervision
  • Familiarity with structured audio taxonomies, metadata tagging, or music classification
  • Experience evaluating generative music, synthetic vocals, or AI-assisted creative tools
  • Knowledge of multiple music genres and contemporary production standards
  • Previous involvement in audio annotation, AI evaluation, quality assurance, or training-data review
  • Strong understanding of Japanese linguistic nuance, pronunciation, writing systems, and cultural context

Why This Opportunity
