Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Location: This is a flexible, primarily remote-friendly role for Virginia-based candidates near the Arlington, VA area. An Arlington office is available for client meetings and collaboration, and no regular travel to our Annapolis office is required — giving you the autonomy of remote work with the grounding of a professional home base.

Note: Candidates must hold an active Virginia Bar license and have direct experience in estate planning and/or estate and trust administration. Candidates must also be located near Arlington, VA to support client meetings. Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Meet with clients to design and implement comprehensive estate plans, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives tailored to their goals and family dynamics
  • Review and analyze client financial and asset information to develop thoughtful, personalized planning recommendations
  • Oversee and coordinate the drafting and execution of estate planning documents in partnership with paralegals and support staff
  • Guide fiduciaries through the full estate and trust administration process, from initial intake through final closing
  • Assist with probate filings and related Virginia court requirements, advising clients on fiduciary duties, timelines, and administration strategy
  • Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and deliver a consistently high-quality experience
  • Participate in client consultations and signing appointments with professionalism and care
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely, accurate completion of all planning and administration matters

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Virginia Bar license (required)
  • DC Bar and/or Maryland Bar license (preferred)
  • Experience in estate planning and/or estate and trust administration (required)
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a client-first approach
  • Ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines with precision and sound judgment
  • Collaborative, professional demeanor and comfort working alongside attorneys and staff
  • Familiarity with practice management software a plus
  • Must be located near Arlington, VA to support in-person client meetings
