Business Development Manager — Americas- Northeast Territory
Reports To:Director of Sales, Americas (reporting to VP Sales, Americas)
Department:Sales / Business Development
Location:Remote within assigned U.S. territory (Florida or Texas)
Travel:Regular regional travel (typically 3-4 days per week)
Type:Full-time, Individual Contributor

ROLE PURPOSE
This is a front-line, customer-facing sales role focused on new business development.
You are expected to be in the field, meeting customers, identifying opportunities, and driving them through the pipeline to close.
This is not a strategy or management role. Success comes from consistent prospecting, frequent customer interaction, and disciplined execution.
You will represent the full AMFT platform — introducing customers to a broad range of manufacturing capabilities across multiple sites and technologies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
New Business Development (Primary Focus)
  • Prospect and open new accounts within your territory
  • Schedule and conduct regular customer visits (plants, engineering teams, procurement)
  • Identify and qualify opportunities aligned with AMFT capabilities
  • Drive opportunities from first meeting through quote, sample, and award
  • Consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline
  • Represent AMFT at trade shows and customer events
Account Expansion
  • Grow existing accounts by introducing additional AMFT capabilities
  • Cross-sell across multiple product lines and manufacturing processes
  • Build strong relationships with engineering, sourcing, and operations teams
Execution Discipline
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity in Salesforce
  • Log customer visits and opportunity updates consistently
  • Meet defined activity expectations (visits, meetings, pipeline creation)
  • Participate in regular pipeline reviews with leadership

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 12 MONTHS)
  • Builds a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Consistently meets or exceeds activity expectations
  • Wins new business and opens new customer accounts
  • Demonstrates ability to sell across multiple AMFT capabilities
  • Becomes a trusted, credible presence with customers in the territory

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Proven track record of winning new business (hunter mindset)
  • Comfortable spending significant time in front of customers
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle for engineered or custom products
  • Strong discipline in pipeline management and CRM usage
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Restless and proactive — prefers being in front of customers vs. behind a desk
  • Naturally curious about how products are made and improved
  • Self-driven prospector who does not wait for direction
  • Competitive and results-oriented — takes ownership of wins and losses
  • Organized and disciplined in execution
Preferred
  • Experience selling metal components, engineered parts, or manufacturing solutions
  • Exposure to industries such as aerospace, medical, industrial, or electronics
  • Technical or engineering background

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base salary $110-120,000 plus bonus potential
