Join a dynamic group of insurance regulatory consultants with a mission of protecting consumers as it relates to mental health access and services. This role is remote but everything our team does is connected.


About the role

The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst - MHPAEA will perform audits of Health Insurance Companies with respect to compliance with MHPAEA as it relates to market reviews, internal policies and procedures, plan designs, and utilization review practices. Our work is conducted on behalf of State and Federal regulatory entities. Considering Full Time salaried candidates and 1099 contractors.


What you'll do

  • Perform Reviews (audits) of company documentation for compliance with the requirements of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act
  • Analyzing company documentation for compliance with state and federal legislation
  • Documenting and summarizing results of analysis to demonstrate evidence of compliance issues and conclusions reached
  • Develop recommendations for corrective actions to remediate instances of non-compliance
  • Draft requests for information (RFI) and compliance communications to audit stakeholders in order to clearly convey audit results and ensure corrective actions are taken to obtain compliance


Qualifications

  • College degree, or equivalent experience required
  • Mental Health Parity experience
  • Four+ years of health insurance regulatory and compliance experience, preferably audit experience
  • JD Preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting internal and external deadlines
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat PDF


Stand-Out Skills

  • Insurance industry designations such as Market Conduct Management (MCM), Accredited Insurance Examiner (AIE), and/or Certified Insurance Examiner (CIE)
