Job description

Technical Implementation Consultant 


Exterro is currently seeking a highly motivated, organized and goal-oriented Technical Implementation Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with our customers throughout the lifecycle of the implementation and support of Exterro Digital Forensics (FTK) products. You will be focused on the technical aspects of product implementation which requires the ability to understand, implement and troubleshoot the standard Windows/MSSQL application stack, networking and integrations with third party data repositories such as Microsoft O365 and the Google Suite. 


This position will report to the Director of Technical Engineering and will remotely support our global customer base.


Responsibilities

  • Communicate technical project requirements to external customers and work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the necessary implementation prerequisites are in place.
  • Lead and perform implementation of Exterro FTK solutions in accordance with approved Statement of Work (SOW) and related project goals.
  • Test and troubleshoot product components throughout the implementation process to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Address technical inquiries and issues raised by customers relating to the product implementation process.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure that customer implementations are successful.
  • Participate in the development of documentation and scripted solutions to advance the Technical Engineering team’s ability to address customer needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel of up to 25% may be required occasionally.



Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hands on experience implementing, configuring and troubleshooting DFIR solutions such as Exterro FTK, Cellebrite, Magnet, Encase or other similar digital forensics tools is preferred, but not required.
  • Solid technical background involving customer-facing enterprise software implementation or support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts in a way that is easy for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of a customer or partner organization.
  • Strong project management experience, including the establishment of reasonable and attainable deadlines for project resolution.
  • Personal time-management skills and the ability to manage and execute on multiple concurrent tasks over a workday, both independently and as part of the larger team.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including writing complex queries.
  • Strong skills in administration and advanced configuration of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
  • Relevant experience implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows-based applications.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP protocols and firewall management. 
  • Scripting experience using common languages, such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Experience working with APIs for integration and automation tasks.

As a remote first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary range for this remote position is $71,350 - $89,200 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Exterro is a total compensation company, and this role may be eligible for variable pay, equity, bonus and/or other forms of compensation as part of the package. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, flexible paid time off and more.
