Who we are

With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system – reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility.

This role is a key driver in ensuring the timely availability of materials needed for our ongoing projects, while also transforming our project reporting standards. What we do

The Production Control team manages project-based planning and material execution for complex, customer-specific automation systems. This group oversees material coordination, supply execution, and logistics alignment to ensure materials and equipment are available when and where needed to support installation and commissioning. Production Control works closely with other Supply Chain teams, including Sourcing, Procurement, and Supplier partners, to align demand, supply, and execution across large-scale customer projects.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain project material plans; driving our Supplier Follow Up team to ensure materials are available at project sites for installation.

  • Serve as single point of contact for project material escalations; coordinate involved parties to deliver to site needs.

  • Manage project through key planning milestones: Ensuring all items required for project are ordered and deliveries on track to progress on key Symbotic timelines.

  • Maintain Project Tracking tools, ensuring validity of data and driving improved reporting on project performance through use of Excel.

  • Support new projects by creating material allocation reports to ensure all materials are on order.

  • Effectively summarize project performance and anticipated shortfalls to Executive level stakeholders; must have a demonstrated ability to tailor communication to specific stakeholder needs.

  • Drive project progress through developing improved KPIs and project performance signals to catch shortfalls prior to site impact.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning; material planning experience is critical.

  • Experience in supply chain project management or process improvement initiatives.

  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is a plus.

  • Advanced Excel experience is a must - (Pivot tables/charts, LOOKUP, Macros & VBA).

  • Must have demonstrated comfort providing information and updates to Director/VP level stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of material planning principles and inventory management.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes.

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop and implement efficient processes.

  • Proficiency in SAP and other supply chain management tools.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Our Environment
