What we need 

Symbotic is seeking an Operations Trainer to join our Field Learning Center of Excellence within the Corporate HR function. Your job will be to coordinate, deliver, track, and reinforce standardized training programs for operational team members, with a primary focus on Cell, System, and Maintenance operations in Mexico. This role ensures employee readiness, supports site ramp-up and operational performance, and serves as the bridge between enterprise learning strategies and effective hands-on execution within Mexico operations. 

What you’ll do 

  • Deliver and coordinate onboarding, certification, and ongoing training programs for Cell Operators, System Operators, Maintenance technicians, and other operational roles, ensuring workforce readiness, productivity, and consistent execution of standard work. 

  • Own training scheduling, sequencing, completion tracking, certification records, retraining requirements, and audit ready documentation through the LMS or approved systems. 

  • Partner with SMEs across Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, Quality, HR and Operations to ensure training content is delivered consistently and aligned to business needs. 

  • Maintain a strong operations floor presence, providing real-time coaching, performance reinforcement, and skill development support for operators and new hires. 

  • Support localization and translation of training materials while ensuring alignment with enterprise learning standards and operational requirements. 

  • Monitor training effectiveness through certification completion rates, productivity metrics, quality results, and operational performance indicators, identifying and addressing skill gaps as needed. 

What you’ll need 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Operations, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience delivering structured training programs within manufacturing, logistics, warehouse automation, distribution, industrial operations, or other technical environments. Experience training frontline employees in standardized operational procedures, equipment operation, certification programs, or technical skills development strongly preferred. 

  • Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency required, with the ability to effectively facilitate training and communicate with both local and global stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge of STPS requirements, DC-3 training documentation, NOM-035 requirements, and other applicable workforce compliance standards, or the ability to quickly develop expertise. 

  • Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), maintaining training records, and managing certification tracking programs. 

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple shifts and operational environments. 

Our Environment 

  • Domestic and international travel required, including travel to U.S. operations for training, immersion, and launch support activities. 

  • Combination of classroom, office, and operational floor environments with significant time spent coaching and supporting employees within warehouse or automated system operations. 

  • This role is expected to be hired approximately 4-6 months prior to site go-live to support training immersion, ramp-up readiness, launch execution, and ongoing operational performance.

Estamos buscando un Capacitador de Operaciones para unirse a nuestro Centro de Excelencia de Aprendizaje en Campo dentro de la función de Recursos Humanos Corporativo. Su trabajo será coordinar, impartir, dar seguimiento y reforzar programas de capacitación estandarizados para miembros del equipo operativo, con un enfoque principal en operaciones de Celdas, Sistemas y Mantenimiento en México. Este puesto garantiza la preparación de los empleados, apoya el arranque de sitio y el desempeño operativo, y sirve como puente entre las estrategias de aprendizaje empresarial y la ejecución práctica efectiva dentro de las operaciones en México. 

Lo que harás 

  • Impartir y coordinar programas de inducción, certificación y capacitación continua para Operadores de Celda, Operadores de Sistema, técnicos de Mantenimiento y otros puestos operativos, asegurando la preparación de la fuerza laboral, la productividad y la ejecución consistente del trabajo estándar. 

  • Ser responsable de la programación, secuencia, seguimiento de finalización, registros de certificación, requisitos de recertificación y documentación lista para auditoría a través del LMS o sistemas aprobados. 

  • Colaborar con expertos en la materia de Mantenimiento, Ingeniería, EHS, Calidad, Recursos Humanos y Operaciones para asegurar que el contenido de capacitación se imparta de manera consistente y alineada con las necesidades del negocio. 

  • Mantener una presencia sólida en el piso de operaciones, proporcionando coaching en tiempo real, refuerzo del desempeño y apoyo al desarrollo de habilidades para operadores y nuevos empleados. 

  • Apoyar la localización y traducción de materiales de capacitación, asegurando la alineación con los estándares empresariales de aprendizaje y los requisitos operativos. 

  • Monitorear la efectividad de la capacitación mediante tasas de finalización de certificaciones, métricas de productividad, resultados de calidad e indicadores de desempeño operativo, identificando y atendiendo brechas de habilidades según sea necesario. 

Lo que necesitarás 

  • Licenciatura en Negocios, Educación, Recursos Humanos, Operaciones, Tecnología Industrial o un campo relacionado, o una combinación equivalente de educación y experiencia. 

  • Mínimo 5 años de experiencia impartiendo programas de capacitación estructurados en manufactura, logística, automatización de almacenes, distribución, operaciones industriales u otros entornos técnicos. Se prefiere ampliamente experiencia capacitando a empleados de primera línea en procedimientos operativos estandarizados, operación de equipos, programas de certificación o desarrollo de habilidades técnicas. 

  • Dominio bilingüe de español e inglés requerido, con capacidad para facilitar capacitación de manera efectiva y comunicarse con stakeholders locales y globales. 

  • Conocimiento de los requisitos de STPS, documentación de capacitación DC-3, requisitos de NOM-035 y otros estándares aplicables de cumplimiento laboral, o capacidad para desarrollar rápidamente dicho conocimiento. 

  • Experiencia utilizando Sistemas de Gestión de Aprendizaje (LMS), manteniendo registros de capacitación y administrando programas de seguimiento de certificaciones. 

  • Sólidas habilidades de facilitación, coaching, gestión de stakeholders, comunicación y organización, con capacidad para trabajar eficazmente en múltiples turnos y entornos operativos. 

Nuestro entorno de trabajo 

  • Se requiere viaje nacional e internacional, incluyendo viajes a operaciones en EE. UU. para capacitación, inmersión y actividades de apoyo al lanzamiento. 

  • Combinación de entornos de aula, oficina y piso operativo, con tiempo significativo dedicado a brindar coaching y apoyo a empleados dentro de operaciones de almacén o sistemas automatizados. 

  • Se espera que este puesto sea contratado aproximadamente 4 a 6 meses antes de la puesta en marcha del sitio para apoyar la inmersión en capacitación, la preparación para el ramp-up, la ejecución del lanzamiento y el desempeño operativo continuo.
