About the Role

We are looking for a driven and creative Learning Experience Designer to work with our clients and teams to develop innovative, pedagogically strong learning solutions that meet their business and people needs.

You will help shape the creative vision for a range of digital learning projects, translating content and learning needs into engaging, effective experiences. You will collaborate closely with designers, developers, project managers and client subject matter experts (SMEs).

Building on your experience as a learning designer, you will have a solid understanding of the principles of adult learning and of learning technology. An excellent communicator, you will be able to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels. You will also have a graduate degree.

Responsibilities

- Contributing to the creative vision for the overall digital learning or blended project.
- Researching content, working with subject experts and with your fellow learning design colleagues to transform that content into effective and engaging learning.
- Participating in and facilitating analysis and design workshops, both internally and with clients.
- Linking learning needs analysis results to learning objectives when implementing the design.
- Developing curricula and structured learning pathways that sequence content logically towards the learning objectives.
- Working with the design team to define visual and multi-media approaches.
- Presenting and pitching learning concepts to client stakeholders.
- Creating detailed design documentation, including storyboards, and taking them through to build in the LMS.
- Building and developing learning in authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline, and creating interactive content.
- Designing solutions for various content types, including but not limited to microlearning, interactive videos, animations, infographics, rich media articles, guides, scenarios and gamification.
- Outlining and designing interactive scenarios and case studies.
- Developing effective assessment questions, quality distractors and practice interactions that accurately test the learners' ability to meet learning objectives.
- Effectively managing multiple priorities, projects and relationships.
- Researching industry trends and bringing new ideas to the team, including the use of AI to enhance learning design, to maintain our innovative approach to learning solutions.

Requirements


- Bachelor's degree or related qualification, with a minimum of three years' relevant working experience within an edtech, media, training or L&D related role.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong lateral thinking skills and problem-solving abilities, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- A high level of confidence, professionalism and interpersonal skills.
- Good work ethic and time management skills.
- Experience working in a virtual environment with global audiences and learners.
- Experience in working with remote teams.
- Ability to adapt to ad hoc requests, scope changes and remain productive in response to a fluctuating and dynamic work environment.

Advantageous

- Curriculum development experience.
- Experience taking storyboards through to build in an LMS.
- Hands-on development experience in Articulate Rise and Storyline.
- Experience creating interactive content in H5P.
- Client-facing experience: presenting, workshopping and building relationships directly with clients.
- Assessment development experience.
- Ideation as a natural strength.
- Creative thinking: brainstorming new ideas and using AI tools to enhance learning design and delivery.
