3D Product Visualization Designer (AI-Enhanced)

Client is a modular consumer product brand focused on personal expression, customization, and design-driven storytelling. The brand emphasizes high-quality visual presentation and scalable product systems. This role focuses on creating high-quality, photorealistic 3D product visuals for marketing, ecommerce, and brand storytelling. The position combines strong 3D fundamentals, lighting expertise, and efficient workflows enhanced by AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

·        Create photorealistic 3D renders of modular consumer products

·        Develop lighting setups for different visual styles including clean ecommerce visuals and emotional marketing scenes

·        Build and maintain material libraries such as silicone, matte, and textured finishes

·        Produce product visuals including hero images, exploded views, color variations, and lifestyle scenes

·        Create simple animations such as rotation, assembly, and transitions

·        Optimize workflows using AI tools where appropriate

·        Collaborate closely with product, branding, and marketing teams

Requirements

Requirements and Deliverables

Candidates will be responsible for producing high-resolution product renders (4K and above), short animation loops (5 to 10 seconds), reusable scene files, lighting setups, and well-organized asset libraries including materials, colors, and components.

The role requires strong experience in 3D product rendering and proficiency in tools such as Blender (preferred), Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, or Maya. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of lighting, materials, shaders, composition, and visual balance, with the ability to consistently deliver photorealistic, brand-level visuals.

Mid to senior level candidates are preferred with at least 3 years of relevant experience, although a strong portfolio may substitute for years of experience.

Experience with AI-assisted workflows is preferred, including the use of tools for texture generation, concept iteration, and rendering enhancement. Candidates should understand how to integrate AI effectively without compromising core design quality.

A strong portfolio is mandatory and must showcase product visualization work, high-quality lighting with realistic depth and shadows, a clean and minimal aesthetic, and consistency across multiple projects.

This role is not suitable for candidates focused only on basic 3D modeling, game asset designers without product rendering experience, or those who rely heavily on AI without strong foundational skills.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid test task involving two product renders: one clean minimal version and one emotional or mood-driven version. Evaluation will focus on lighting, material realism, composition, and overall visual quality.

Additional advantages include experience with modular product systems, motion or animation work, a background in industrial or product design, and prior experience working with consumer brands.
