Technical Architect-Level 2 (Microsoft Fabrics and Azure Synapse)

This is a remote position.

Our client is seeking a technical architect to support the enterprise data platform (EDP) initiative. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement data, analytics, automation, and integration solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, .NET, Power BI, Power Automate, GitHub Copilot, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

This is a 6-month delivery role intended to help accelerate EDP implementation, support internal teams, and leave behind reusable assets that can be maintained after the contract ends.

The successful candidate will work with architects, transformation specialists, business analysts, and data analysts to deliver new capabilities for client’s Enterprise Data Platform.

At client’s sole discretion the Services may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and/or deliverables, as and when directed by the client:

a) Designing and developing solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse analytics.

b) Building and supporting onelake, lakehouse, data warehouse, and data integration solutions.

c) Implementing and supporting medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold).

d) Developing cloud-native applications, APIs, and integrations using Azure and .NET.

e) Creating analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI.

f) Developing workflow automation solutions using Power Automate.

g) Implementing continuous implementation and continuous development pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.

h) Leveraging GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.

i) Collaborating with project teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement best practices.

j) Delivering production-ready data, analytics, automation, and integration solutions.

k) Delivering Fabric-based data platform components aligned with EDP architecture.

l) Delivering reusable Azure, analytics, and automation assets.

m) Delivering automated deployment and infrastructure provisioning processes.

n) Delivering high-quality technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Requirements

Experience

1. Proven experience designing and delivering solutions using Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse analytics, including onelake, lakehouse, data warehouse, and data integration solutions.
   

2. Strong understanding and practical implementation experience with medallion architecture (bronze, silver, and gold layers).
   

3. Strong software development experience using Python, Pyspark, C#, .NET, SQL, and modern application development practices.
   

4. Experience developing cloud-native solutions, APIs and integrations using Microsoft Azure.
   

5. Experience delivering analytics, reporting, and workflow automation solutions using Power BI and Power Automate.
   

6. Experience implementing continuous implementation and continuous development pipelines, source control, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using YAML, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
   

7. Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI‑assisted development tools.
