Job description

This is a remote position.

We're working alongside a boutique consultancy focused exclusively on QA/QE talent, placing this Senior Quality Engineer directly with one of their long-term clients — a technology-enabled healthcare services company coordinating specialty care for injured workers nationally. You'll embed directly into UOC, a greenfield .NET microservices platform connecting six lines of business (Physical Therapy, Diagnostics, Home Health, DME, Translation, Driver Dispatch) to tools like the Adjuster Dashboard — getting in early on a system still being built, not maintaining legacy code.

The role starts hands-on: manual functional, exploratory, and regression testing while you build real domain knowledge. From there, you'll grow into automation ownership and shift-left practices. You'll be embedded with PMs and developers, with real workday overlap and a seat in planning, ceremonies, and requirements review — not a "wait for the ticket" role. We're looking for someone who asks "why does it work this way" before being told to, and wants a role they can genuinely shape from day one.

What you'll do

  • Execute functional, exploratory, and regression testing across a complex, service-oriented platform
  • Validate data integrity via SQL; trace defects across multi-system, cross-LOB environments
  • Manage test cases and work items (TestRail, Azure DevOps or equivalents)
  • Participate in planning, acceptance-criteria review, and requirements analysis — not just testing after the fact
  • Join dailies and retros as a full product team member
  • Present findings and quality risk clearly to engineering and other stakeholders
  • Build toward automation ownership (Playwright preferred) as you establish domain depth

Requirements

  • 5–10 years in Quality Engineering, with strong fundamentals - not just years executing test scripts
  • Genuinely comfortable in manual testing, including ambiguous, complex domains
  • Engineering mindset: coverage strategy and test architecture, not just pass/fail
  • SQL proficiency for data validation
  • Automation exposure with Playwright preferred -  or a clear, active drive to get there
  • Advanced English and strong communication - comfortable presenting to stakeholders directly
  • Comfortable with meaningful daily overlap with a U.S.- based team

Benefits

  • Real ownership from day one on a system that's still being built
  • A clear growth path from hands-on execution into automation and quality strategy
  • Fully remote, contractor engagement, open to strong candidates across LATAM

Salary: 4000 - 4500
