Job description

About Einsightful LLC:

At Einsightful LLC, our success is driven by our talented team and our commitment to their professional growth. We are a cross-functional shared service organization providing essential support functions that empower our clients' businesses. These services include billing, bookkeeping, human capital management, payroll, compliance, continuous improvement, technology solutions, product development, and project management.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategy driven SB Consultant to join our team. The Small Business Consultant will serve as a dedicated, outsourced operational and financial partner to a portfolio of small-to-medium-sized business (SMB) clients. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of core financial tasks, including billing and bookkeeping, while also providing high-level strategic advisory services on procedures, technology implementation, and financial health. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong foundation in accounting and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Compliance (Bookkeeping, Billing, and Taxes)

  • Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process for assigned clients, including general ledger maintenance, month-end closing, and balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Oversee and optimize client billing (Accounts Receivable) procedures to improve cash flow and reduce collection times.

  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax reports, or coordinate with external tax professionals (CPA) on behalf of the client.

  • Process Accounts Payable and manage vendor relationships as needed.

2. Financial Review & Strategy

  • Conduct regular (monthly/quarterly) financial performance reviews with business owners, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.

  • Develop key financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow projections.

  • Provide strategic recommendations on budgeting, cost reduction, and revenue-increasing opportunities.

3. Operational Efficiency & Procedure Definition

  • Analyze existing client workflows (e.g., sales-to-cash process, expense reporting) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

  • Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core business processes, ensuring consistency and compliance.

  • Train client staff on new financial procedures, software, and best practices.

4. Digital Enablement & Systems Integration

  • Lead the digital transformation of client operations, focusing on implementing cloud-based financial and operational systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, CRM tools, dedicated billing software).

  • Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to automate manual tasks, particularly in billing, expense management, and reporting.

  • Ensure seamless integration between various client systems (e.g., POS, Inventory, Accounting).

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys working with numbers and excels at strategic planning. If you are detail-oriented and ready to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply!

  • Change Management: Experience successfully introducing and driving the adoption of new systems and processes within an existing organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or client-facing financial consulting.
