Business Consultant

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant with expertise in R&D technology platforms, particularly IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) and Ketryx. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, R&D teams, and IT teams to optimize engineering processes, improve requirements management, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, quality, and business teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
  

• Support implementation, configuration, and optimization of IBM ELM and Ketryx platforms.
  

• Translate business needs into functional requirements and technology solutions.
  

• Improve requirements management, traceability, change management, and engineering workflows.
  

• Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and business process improvement.
  

• Support system integration, data migration, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  

• Prepare functional documentation, business requirements, and user training materials.
  

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  

Requirements

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Business Consultant, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant within R&D or engineering technology environments.
  

• Hands-on experience with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).
  

• Experience with Ketryx for product development lifecycle management, traceability, or compliance.
  

• Understanding of requirements management, engineering lifecycle processes, and change control.
  

• Experience gathering business requirements, conducting workshops, and managing stakeholders.
  

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
