Payroll Specialist

Role overview

Remote Recruitment is looking for a remote Payroll Specialist to support a UK-based employer from South Africa. You'll make sure everyone is paid correctly and on time, every cycle. This is a fully remote role working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).

Key responsibilities

• Run end-to-end monthly and weekly payroll cycles
• Process starters, leavers and contract changes
• Handle statutory deductions, pensions and payroll queries
• Reconcile payroll reports and post journals to finance
• Keep payroll records accurate and compliant

What you'll need

• Hands-on payroll processing experience
• Familiarity with payroll software such as Sage, Xero Payroll or BrightPay
• Strong numeracy and a careful, methodical approach
• Clear written and spoken English
• A reliable home internet connection and quiet workspace
