Job description

Overview:

Clearview by Panasonic is a leading restaurant operations SaaS platform serving thousands of quick-service restaurant (QSR) locations across North America and internationally. Our software helps restaurant operators optimize labor, inventory, financial performance, workforce management, and operational reporting through real-time business intelligence and deep integrations with POS, supply chain, payroll, and accounting systems. Today, Clearview supports major brands including McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Wendy's, A&W, and other emerging restaurant concepts.

For more than two decades, Clearview has grown through customer success, industry expertise, and long-term partnerships. We are now entering the next phase of growth and are seeking a commercial leader to help establish and scale our U.S. sales organization.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial sales and business development leader to build and execute Clearview's U.S. growth strategy. This individual will be responsible for creating the foundation of our U.S. sales organization, generating new business, identifying market opportunities, establishing go-to-market processes, and helping shape the future commercial direction of the company.

The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where structure must be created, processes must be built, and opportunities must be developed from the ground up. This role is best suited for a commercially minded builder who combines strategic vision with a hands-on "hunter" mentality.

Build the U.S. Sales Function

  • Develop and implement Clearview's U.S. go-to-market strategy.
  • Establish repeatable sales processes, methodologies, and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate and recommend CRM and sales technology platforms.
  • Create target account strategies and market segmentation plans.
  • Build pipeline forecasting and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with executive leadership on long-term growth planning.

Drive New Business Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with restaurant operators, franchise groups, multi-unit operators, and emerging restaurant brands.
  • Generate and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Lead discovery, solution presentation, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Build relationships with both franchise operators and corporate decision-makers.
  • Pursue opportunities within existing enterprise relationships while expanding into new markets and brands.

Strategic Business Development

  • Identify emerging restaurant concepts and growth-stage brands that could become long-term strategic customers.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitor activity, and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Engineering leaders to align market needs with product strategy.
  • Help identify opportunities for new integrations, services, and revenue streams.
  • Contribute to the development of future sales, marketing, and customer success resources as the organization scales.

Market Leadership

  • Represent Clearview at industry events, customer meetings, and conferences.
  • Build relationships throughout the restaurant technology ecosystem.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and market within the organization.
  • Establish Clearview as a trusted operational technology partner for the restaurant industry.

Success Criteria

Within the first 12 months, this individual will:

  • Establish a scalable U.S. sales strategy.
  • Implement foundational sales processes and tools.
  • Build a qualified pipeline of strategic opportunities.
  • Generate early customer wins within targeted restaurant segments.
  • Strengthen Clearview's visibility and presence in the U.S. restaurant technology market.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations for the long-term growth of the sales organization.

Qualifications:

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of successful B2B sales and business development experience.
  • Proven track record selling SaaS, subscription-based software, or recurring revenue solutions.
  • Experience building or scaling a sales function within a startup, growth-stage, founder-led, or entrepreneurial organization.
  • Demonstrated success generating pipeline through self-sourced business development efforts.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage decision-makers at all levels.

Preferred Experience

  • Restaurant technology, QSR, hospitality, franchising, retail technology, POS, workforce management, payroll, ERP, or operational SaaS experience.
  • Experience selling into franchise organizations or multi-unit operators.
  • Experience launching new territories, markets, or business units.
  • Experience introducing CRM systems and sales infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue business models and ARR-driven organizations.
