Senior Java Developer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team full-time in Poland.

About the role:

As a Senior Java Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project delivering scalable and high-quality software solutions aligned with the product roadmap and modern architectural standards.

Responsibilities:

• Write highly testable, automatable, and performant code across the full SDLC using high coding standards and software best practices

• Develop the product and deliver features and updates according to the product roadmap

• Develop and review feature design documents and provide input to update solution specifications

• Participate in team activities according to the methodology, including daily meetings, planning, and retrospectives

• Coach and supervise Middle and Junior Engineers based on project needs

Requirements:

• Use best practices and patterns during application design and implementation

• Hands-on experience with monolith, microservice, and serverless architectural styles

• In-depth proficiency in Java, implementing applications using defensive programming

• Proven experience in developing web applications using advanced framework features and industry-standard conventions

• Practical experience in writing and performance tuning of complex SQL

• In-depth proficiency with JUnit and Mockito

• Experience contributing to continuous quality improvement, including conducting code reviews, setting up quality metrics, and monitoring them

• Hands-on experience with application deployment patterns and tools

• Practical experience in infrastructure configuration using popular cloud providers

Desirable:

• Experience configuring application security aspects

• Practical experience in application performance optimization
