Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Quality Engineer to join our team full-time in Canada.

About the role:

As a Senior Data Quality Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team, engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute data-focused quality engineering strategies for enterprise data platforms
  • Perform ETL and data pipeline testing to validate data accuracy, completeness, and reliability
  • Develop and execute source-to-target reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity across systems
  • Design, implement, and enhance data quality frameworks and validation processes
  • Create complex SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Validate data transformations, mappings, and business rules across data workflows
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify data issues and improve data quality
  • Perform regression testing for data pipelines, integrations, and analytics platforms
  • Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements in data quality processes

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with 4+ years focused on data testing
  • Strong experience in data-specific QA and data validation
  • Hands-on experience with ETL testing and data pipeline validation
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries
  • Experience with source-to-target reconciliation and data integrity testing
  • Experience designing and implementing data quality frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data workflows, transformations, and validation techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience testing large-scale enterprise data platforms and data warehouses
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data engineering practices
  • Experience with automation frameworks for data testing
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience with BI/reporting data validation
