3iQ’s Hedge Fund Team is hiring a Quantitative Analyst with an interest in financial markets and digital assets, as well as strong analytical and technical capabilities. In this role, you will evaluate investment ideas through rigorous empirical analysis, back-test strategies, and help translate research findings into practical portfolio recommendations, while maintaining and contributing to our own proprietary databases. You will also partner with technology teams to build and integrate new quantitative capabilities into the investment process. The ideal candidate can frame investment problems quantitatively, execute high-quality analysis, and communicate results clearly in an investment-oriented way.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Research, design, and develop quantitative investment and risk analysis to support QMAP daily functions such as investment analysis, risk reporting/analysis, portfolio creation, and quantitative modeling.
• Partner with portfolio managers and risk teams to enhance existing and develop new investment analysis and portfolio construction approaches.
• Clearly articulate the rationale for recommendations and communicate findings in an actionable, investment-oriented manner.
• Understand, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that supports quantitative/ qualitative research and investment processes.
• Develop process and procedures to automate existing data collection and maintenance, including in 3iQ’s performance database

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 2-4 years of experience in relevant Financial Industry sectors (e.g., portfolio analysis, risk analysis, optimization, asset allocation).
• Experience with risk research, quantitative portfolio construction methods, investment management, and portfolio analyses.
• Proven ability and track record of conducting rigorous independent empirical research and a willingness to identify and present new research ideas.
• Experience with quantitative portfolio and risk tools such as Bloomberg, and PMS tools in the crypto space.
• Creative, innovative thinker with intellectual curiosity and motivation to learn and grow; drive to design investment processes for the future.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly the ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into clear, practical investment insights.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel
• Strong technical aptitude and adaptability, with solid programming and database skills, including Python, R, SQL, and BI tools.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work across investment teams and build alignment.
• Experience with optimization methods and AI-enabled research tools is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with digital asset trading is preferred but not required.
• Strong preference for a graduate degree in a related field (Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Decision Science, and Computer Science).
• CFA is a plus.
