Job description

Datmos brings together passionate experts who combine creativity and data to craft inspiring eCommerce experiences.

Driven by a shared passion for excellence, we help visionary brands grow by aligning commerce strategy, digital experience, and technology implementation to deliver innovative, data-driven digital commerce solutions.

We’re looking for an experienced Front-End Developer with strong Vue.js expertise and excellent design acumen.  React.js experience is a plus, as you may occasionally support projects across our React ecosystem as well. You will join our team full-time and help build performant, scalable, and elegant interfaces for modern websites and web applications. You’ll work across  our Vue ecosystems, including working with frameworks like Nuxt.js, integrating with APIs and delivering exceptional front-end experiences across devices. You will collaborate closely with designers and other developers, contributing your technical perspective to implementation decisions throughout the development process.

This role blends strong technical proficiency with a high level  of UI craftsmanship and design acumen. The ideal candidate is framework-flexible, fluent in JavaScript/TypeScript, and experienced with building polished, responsive, API-driven interfaces.

You will be responsible for:

  • Serving as a technical voice in design reviews—identifying implementation complexity, flagging potential issues early, and contributing to effort estimates before development begins.
  • Building and maintaining Vue-based front ends, using Nuxt.js, or similar frameworks.
  • Translating UI/UX designs into responsive, mobile-first, accessible, and reusable components with a high degree of design fidelity
  • Integrating  and managing data from RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Optimizing applications for performance, SEO, and user experience.
  • Participating in sprint planning, reviews, and architectural discussions with cross-functional teams.
  • Writing and maintaining tests to support reliable, maintainable front-end code.

Requirements:

  • Strong front-end development experience with expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as Vue and  React.
  • Experience working with design systems (Storybook, Tailwind-based component libraries) and familiarity with headless CMS (e.g., Contentful, Storyblok) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).
  • Demonstrated design acumen and Figma Dev Mode fluency: typography, visual hierarchy, advanced responsive behavior, micro-interactions, accessibility (WCAG), and how Figma files are structured, including auto-layout, variants, and component hierarchies.Comfortable working with AI-assisted design-to-code workflows, including tools like Figma MCP — and clear-eyed about when to leverage them and when your own expertise should lead.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Solid understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, and PWA best practices, with experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tooling.
  • Experienced at integrating AI tools thoughtfully into your development workflow—using them to accelerate without compromising code quality, design fidelity, or your own craft judgment.
  • Nice to have: experience with Docker, Node.js (Express/H3), light back-end debugging, and advanced PWA experiences.
