We’re seeking a strong Software Engineer to join our Core product team to work closely with our engineers and product management team to create best in class software. This role is ideal for an engineer that thrives working on long standing, complex projects with many intricacies. Location
This is a remote position. Candidates for this role must reside in—and be eligible to legally work for any employer in—Uruguay, Costa Rica and Mexico, overlapping US business hours (approximately 8am–4pm PST).
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the full stack development of the Hint Core product.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions, working closely with product management to scope and deliver solutions.
- Create, enhance and adapt to AI processes to accelerate your development process.
- Continually look for areas to improve on our tools, workflows, and support effective collaboration and teamwork.
- Engage in code reviews and contribute to technical design documentation, focus on maintaining high code quality and scalable development practices
- Identify and advocate for changes that will help our systems scale.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and encourage intentional decision-making by engaging with team members to gather a broad range of opinions and perspectives.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how your work aligns with the company's business goals, and consistently incorporate this awareness into your daily work.
- Commitment to providing and welcoming constructive feedback for the benefit of both team and individual growth.
About You:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, Ideally with at least 3+ years working in a product focused company.
- Proven track record of developing and shipping software, SaaS would be a huge plus.
- Adept at leveraging AI tools effectively while remaining fully accountable for the quality and integrity of all final results.
- Experience working with large complex systems (Ruby on Rails is a huge plus).
- Strong technical expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (experience with Elm or another typed functional frontend language is a huge plus).
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based, scalable architectures, ideally on AWS.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and the ability to adapt as needed to support team efficiency.
- Background in startup environments, with experience identifying areas to help move things faster and increase efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, experience knowing what excellent looks like and ability to achieve it.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally across engineering, product, and design teams.
- Experience working in billing/payments, healthcare technology, Fintech or EMR/EHR systems is a big plus.
