Job description

Construction Business Development & Preconstruction Analyst | U.S. Construction Market

Are you an experienced construction professional who enjoys finding projects, researching opportunities, reading plans, and connecting the right projects with the right companies?

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Business Development & Preconstruction Analyst to join our growing team and become a key part of our U.S. construction business development and preconstruction operation.

You will play an important role in identifying new construction opportunities, qualifying projects, researching key decision-makers, and preparing opportunities for our estimating team.

We are a kitchen cabinet wholesaler partnering with a countertop company, initially focusing on multifamily and commercial construction projects across the Southeast United States.

What You'll Be Doing

You will take ownership of the early-stage project research and qualification process, including:

  • Finding upcoming multifamily and commercial construction projects.
  • Researching and qualifying projects that are a strong fit for our businesses.
  • Reviewing architectural plans, specifications, finish schedules, and bid documents.
  • Identifying cabinet and countertop scope.
  • Preparing clear, concise, bid-ready project summaries including scope, contacts, deadlines, and recommendations.
  • Researching general contractors, developers, and key decision-makers.
  • Registering our companies with bidder lists and helping develop relationships with general contractors.
  • Organizing project information so our estimating team receives qualified, bid-ready opportunities instead of spending hours on initial research.

Your Impact

Our goal is for you to handle approximately 80–90% of the preconstruction research and project qualification before an opportunity reaches our estimating team.

That means your work will directly help the team find more opportunities, save valuable estimating time, and pursue better-quality projects.

You won't simply be completing tasksβ€”you'll be helping build and strengthen our U.S. construction project pipeline.

Experience With These Platforms Is a Plus

Experience with any of the following will be highly valued:

BuildingConnected | ConstructConnect | PlanHub | Dodge Construction Network | Bluebeam | Procore

Experience with similar construction bidding, estimating, plan-review, or project research platforms is also welcome.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has hands-on experience supporting the U.S. construction industry.
  • Understands how construction projects move from preconstruction through bidding.
  • Can confidently read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Has strong research and analytical skills.
  • Can identify which opportunities are worth pursuing.
  • Can work independently and take ownership of the process.
  • Communicates clearly in English.
  • Is comfortable working with U.S.-based construction companies and professionals.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to become a key member of a growing U.S. construction-focused business, where your experience and judgment will have a direct impact on business development.

If you have construction, estimating, preconstruction, project research, or business development experience and want a role where your work genuinely matters, we would love to hear from you.
